Changing Standalone Workstation to Enterprise Client
3.27. Changing Standalone Workstation to Enterprise Client
Disponible en español: Cambiar una licencia Individual a un Cliente Enterprise
New Enterprise Network licenses are no longer offered. This article is provided for customers who currently have Enterprise Network licenses.
Applies to:
Palisade software 6.0.1–6.3.1, 7.x, 8.x
Can I convert a trial or an activated standalone copy to an Enterprise Network client?
You will need to know the port number and server name of
your license server, as well as the Activation ID of your Enterprise Network
license. Follow this procedure:
- On
the user’s workstation, log on to Windows as a full administrator.
- Launch
the Palisade software. If License Manager does not come up spontaneously, click
Help » License Manager.
- If
this workstation has an activated standalone license, click Deactivate
and follow the prompts on screen.
- Click
Activate, and enter your Enterprise Network Activation
ID.
- You
will then be prompted to enter the server information.
- Click
OK, and if a network license is available on that
server the software will immediately be activated on this workstation. License
Manager will describe this as an enterprise license.
Reminder: If you later give this user a new
computer, or reassign the software to a different user, you must first deactivate
the license on this workstation through License Manager. That returns the
license to the pool of available licenses on your server.
