Overview
The @RISK Developer Kit (RDK) and related technologies (BDK, RODK, and EDK) have been discontinued by Palisade. (For brevity, "RDK" will be used to refer to all the developer kit products: RDK, BDK, RODK, and EDK.)
In 2015, Palisade released the Palisade Custom Runtime (PCR), which replaces the RDK. PCR licenses are not sold "off the shelf", as the RDK licenses were, but instead are delivered as part of a customized development agreement with Palisade. Please visit our Custom Development page, or contact your Palisade sales manager or sales@palisade.com, for more information concerning the new PCR technology, including questions about upgrading your older RDK programs to the newer platform.
This document describes the policies governing the support of the discontinued RDK technologies.
Technical Support
Support for Current Maintenance Holders: If you have current maintenance for your RDK product, Palisade will continue to support you until the maintenance period has expired. However, please note: There is no technical support at all for the RDK running on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, or later. You will be unable to renew your maintenance once it expires.
Support for License Reauthorizations: Palisade will continue to allow all RDK licenses to be reauthorized (including on new machines) regardless of maintenance status, using the automated authorization system. Problems with authorization will be handled at a very basic level by Technical Support. Use of the RDK on the Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, or later operating systems is not recommended, and is not supported by Palisade Technical Support. Codes for such systems may be generated by the automated system, but any authorization problems encountered will not be handled.
Sales
Since the RDK has been discontinued, Palisade will no longer sell new RDK licenses, sell additional licenses for existing deployments, or collect maintenance fees for existing licenses.
