Applies to:
@RISK for Project 4.x
(For this message when starting TopRank, see "ClassFactory cannot supply requested class" (TopRank).)

Problem:
When I try to run @RISK for Project I get this error message:

System Error &H80040111 (-2147221231).
ClassFactory cannot supply requested class

Solution:
Run a repair on Microsoft Project to resolve the issue.

For Microsoft Project 2007 and 2010:

  1. Click the Windows Start button, then Control Panel, then Programs and Features (in Windows 7 and Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
  2. Find Microsoft Project in the list of programs that appears.
  3. Highlight Microsoft Project 2007 and select Repair.
    (If Repair does not appear, select Change and in the following dialogs select Repair.)

For Microsoft Project 2003:

  1. Start MS Project (but not any Palisade software). If a blank project doesn't open automatically, open one.
  2. In the menu, click Help and then Detect and Repair.
